GRANGE ALBION BASEBALL CLUB

WELCOME:

Welcome to the website of Grange Albion Baseball Club, Grangetown, Cardiff, Wales (for those who don't know, we play a British version of the game of baseball which is different from the US version).  We hope you find this website informative and interesting.

We would love to hear from ex players or members of their family and would be delighted to include any interesting or funny anecdotes they may have on this site.  Just go to the 'Contact us' page to get in touch.

Having been formed in 1907, the 2007 season saw us celebrate our 100th birthday.  Whilst neither of our sides fared well on the pitch throughout 2007, we enjoyed a memorable Centenary season off the pitch.  Please see the 'News' and 'Centenary Dinner' sections for details of the events we held to celebrate.

We are very proud to be one of the oldest surviving clubs and, indeed, the only club to have played in every single season that the Welsh Baseball League has run since our formation.  We are also the most successful club in Welsh baseball having been Dewar Shield Champions a record 28 times, which is no mean feat considering we last got our hands on the Shield as far back as 1974!  We are also proud of the fact that we have supplied the Welsh International team with more players than any other club (48 in total).

The Committee would like to thank WBU Historian, John Day, for his assistance in providing material and information used on this site.

All the best,

Grange Albion Baseball Club Committee
